sparc Energy Awareness Program
A pharmaceutical company with manufacturing and research facilities worldwide, Schering-Plough (S-P) takes its SHE (Safety, Health and Environmental) and energy responsibilities very seriously. KSA&D was hired to develop and execute a strategic global communications initiative for the company. Part of this plan included branding the overall campaign, which we did. Our solution was the name sparc (Schering-Plough Action for Resource Conservation) and it’s corresponding logo.
This program, which is directed to the company’s colleagues, provides inspiration and suggestions to save energy at work and at home, while helping to preserve the environment. Collaborating closely with S-P's Director of Energy Management, KSA&D developed a quarterly e-newsletter called "Energy in Action," an internal multi-functional website(intranet), several displays and posters, and a handy employee "energy-tips" reference guide explaining the company’s energy commitment and plan all under the sparc umbrella.
The sparc family of materials is successfully helping Schering-Plough achieve its objectives, giving its colleagues a stake in the energy initiative, and through these efforts Schering-Plough went on to win 2009 Energy Star® Partner of the Year.
